The guide to diamonds

FUJIMORI DIAMONDS

FUJIMORI diamonds are hand-picked with priority placed on its beauty, brilliance, and more importantly,

our customers' needs.

HOW TO CHOOSE A DIAMOND

The 4Cs of diamonds—cut, color, clarity, and carat weight—are important characteristics to look out for when purchasing a diamond. They are also the universal method for assessing the quality of a diamond.

Learn how to prioritize one over the other and find one within your budget.

CUT

How a diamond's facets interact with light.

Determined by symmetry, proportion, and polish, the cut of the diamond—more than any factor—defines its brilliance and beauty. The closer the cut is to the ideal proportion, the more brilliant the diamond shines.

Diamonds graded Very Good or higher are recommended for engagement rings.

COLOR

The absence or presence of color.

Diamonds can be graded in 23 levels, from colorless D to pale yellow Z. The more colorless the diamond, the higher its price and rarity.

We have tailored our diamond selection, offering colorless and near-colorless diamonds graded G and H and above.

CLARITY

The assessment of small imperfections on the surface
and within the stone.

Every diamond has its own traits that contribute to its visual appearance. The fewer blemishes or inclusions a diamond has, the better the clarity grade. Flawless diamonds are hard to come by.

FUJIMORI is more particular about the positions of the blemishes, and recommends grade VS2 and above.

CARAT

The weight of the diamond.

While cut, color, and clarity determine the aesthetics of a diamond, carat often determines its budget. Bigger diamonds do not necessarily mean they are more beautiful; we also have to consider factors such as the size of the wearer's hand etc.

In our opinion, a 0.3 carat diamond with a beautiful cut, color, and clarity, is more than sufficient for an engagement ring.
